About Us

Dr. Jamie Berg, Psy.D.

Our History

Recover & Renew Homes, Inc. was started by Dr. Jamie Berg, Psy.D. and her husband, Gary Berg. We were inspired to open R&R after witnessing our loved ones struggle with drug & alcohol addiction for the past three generations.

The name Recover & Renew was inspired by two parables in the Bible-The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) and The Parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15:3-7).  Both of these parables represent a common theme of recovering those who are lost in addiction and restoring them to their rightful place in our community.

We believe people who are struggling with addiction deserve the opportunity to live in a safe and healthy environment that offers the chance to restore their life before addiction took it away.  Drug & Alcohol addiction affects every community, regardless of gender, race, SES, religion, and ethnicity. Every person deserves the chance to be sober and recovered from addiction.  We seek to offer this chance with our recovery residence.

Dr. Berg is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and has seven years of experience working in drug and alcohol treatment. She oversees the operations of R&R Homes and coordinates with our preferred outpatient treatment providers to ensure the residents of R&R have access to  psychological treatment for addiction.
